Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 September 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Datasphere Dynamics Limited, the company that operates SoloShift. They set out the rules for using SoloShift. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer.

This document is provided for general information about how SoloShift works. It is not legal advice and does not create a solicitor–client relationship. It does not limit any mandatory rights you have under Irish or EU law.

1. Company and product

SoloShift is a product operated by Datasphere Dynamics Limited, a company incorporated in Dublin, Ireland. In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Datasphere Dynamics Limited, and “you” means the person using SoloShift.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using SoloShift, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. If you are using SoloShift on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.

3. Eligibility and account security

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use SoloShift.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your login secure.
  • You are responsible for activity that happens under your account; tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

4. What SoloShift provides

SoloShift helps technology professionals plan a career move through two journeys:

  • Shift Into Data — guidance for moving into a data career, including a data-transition assessment, a recommended role, a personalised learning roadmap, portfolio project ideas and progress tracking.
  • Go Independent — guidance for moving into freelance, contract or independent work, including a readiness assessment and score, an action roadmap, a rate planner and country guides.

Some tools are marked “Coming Soon” and are not yet available; those labels indicate features that are in development and do not form part of what we currently provide.

5. Educational and informational nature

SoloShift provides educational and informational guidance to support your own decisions. It does not provide legal, tax, accounting, financial, immigration or other professional advice, and it does not guarantee any employment, interview, promotion, client, contract, level of earnings, qualification or career outcome. Please read our Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.

6. AI-generated content

Some features generate content using artificial intelligence. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, and is provided to assist you, not to replace your own judgement or professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated material — such as CVs, applications, profiles, messages, roadmaps and calculations — before you rely on or use it.

7. Plans, subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

Our current plans for new customers are:

  • Free — free to use.
  • Starter — $9.99/mo or $99/yr (prices in US dollars).
  • Professional — $19.99/mo or $199/yr (prices in US dollars).

Renewal. Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as you choose) at the then-current price, until you cancel.

Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked on your billing settings. When you cancel, your paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it does not renew after that.

Price changes. If we change subscription prices, we will give you reasonable notice before the change applies to your renewal, so you can decide whether to continue.

Payments are handled by Stripe. Some accounts may hold a legacy plan that is no longer offered to new customers; those arrangements continue on their existing terms and are not advertised or sold through the current plans above.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use SoloShift unlawfully, or to infringe anyone's rights;
  • upload content you do not have the right to share, or that is unlawful or harmful;
  • attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape or gain unauthorised access to the service;
  • resell or commercially exploit the service except as expressly permitted; or
  • misuse the AI features, including to generate unlawful, deceptive or harmful content.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you provide (for example assessment answers, CV text and messages). You grant us a limited licence to process that content to operate and provide the service to you — including sending it to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy (such as our AI provider) so we can generate your results. You are responsible for the content you provide.

10. Our intellectual property

SoloShift, including its software, design, text, and the SoloShift name and logo, is owned by Datasphere Dynamics Limited or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use SoloShift for your own career planning in accordance with these Terms. You may use the outputs we generate for you for your own purposes.

11. Third-party services

SoloShift relies on third-party providers (for example for authentication, hosting, payments, email, analytics and AI) and may link to third-party websites and resources. We are not responsible for third-party websites or their content, and your use of a third-party service may be governed by that provider's own terms.

12. Availability and changes

We aim to keep SoloShift available and to improve it over time. We may update, add or remove features, and we may occasionally suspend the service for maintenance or for reasons outside our reasonable control. We may update these Terms; if we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to let you know, and the “Last updated” date above will change. Continuing to use SoloShift after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Suspension and termination

You can stop using SoloShift and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the service unlawfully, acting proportionately and, where practical, giving you notice and an opportunity to put things right. If we end your access without good reason while you hold a paid subscription, you remain entitled to any refund required by law.

14. Your consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your mandatory rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law, including the Irish Consumer Rights Act 2022 and applicable EU consumer-protection rules. Those rights always apply in addition to these Terms, and nothing here is intended to exclude or limit them. If any term would be unfair or unenforceable under consumer law, it does not apply, and the rest of the Terms continue in force. General guidance on your rights is available from Ireland's Competition and Consumer Protection Commission at ccpc.ie.

15. Liability

We provide SoloShift with reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under Irish or EU consumer law.

Subject to that, and because SoloShift provides informational guidance that you choose whether and how to act on, we are not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable losses, for career, business or financial outcomes, or for decisions you make based on the guidance or AI-generated content. Your statutory remedies as a consumer are unaffected.

16. Governing law and disputes

We intend these Terms to be governed by the laws of Ireland, and for the Irish courts to have jurisdiction. This does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer-law rules of the country where you live, and — if you are a consumer in the EU — you keep the right to bring proceedings in, and to rely on the mandatory laws of, your country of residence. You may also be able to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform. (The choice of governing law and forum is a business decision that should be confirmed by the company before these Terms are finalised.)

17. Contact

You can contact us about these Terms at support@soloshift.io, addressed to Datasphere Dynamics Limited, Dublin, Ireland. For data-protection matters, see our Privacy Policy and Ireland's Data Protection Commission at https://www.dataprotection.ie/.
